Prudential RideLondon 2019 travel updates
On Sunday 4 August Prudential RideLondon returns to Surrey and some roads will be closed. For live travel updates on the day follow @BBCSurreyTravel on Twitter or look at the feed below. More information on road closures, including likely reopening times, can be found on the Prudential RideLondon website. You can ring the help desk on the day of the event on 0345 894 9773 if you have a specific access need.
On event day you will be able to use the interactive map of road closures and reopenings which will be regularly updated throughout the event.
Due to road closures, some bus services may either be withdrawn or shortened. This will affect a larger area than just the event route. Find out more about affected bus services here.
Information for residents and businesses on the route
Leaflets will be distributed by event organisers to residents and businesses on or near the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100, 46, 19 and Classic routes, providing more information. You can download the road closure leaflets here.
The roads that make up the routes in Surrey will close from 5.00am on Sunday 4 August to allow time for barriers to be installed, safety checks to be carried out and stewards and volunteers to get in place. Later in the afternoon, reopened sections of the route which are being used for the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey Classic professional race will be managed by rolling road closures. More information about the Prudential RideLondon events taking place in Surrey on Sunday 4 August can be found here.
