National Highways
National Highways is the government company that operates, maintains and improves England's motorways and major A roads. These roads in Surrey are the M3, the M23, M25, A3, A23 at Hooley and the A30 in Spelthorne only.
These are two long-term National Highways roadwork projects in Surrey that are likely to cause disruption.

National Highways - A3 Dennis Roundabout bridge repairs, Guildford
National Highways are repairing the bridges at Dennis Roundabout on the A3 in Guildford from May to December 2026.
The 2 bridges carry the A3 traffic over the A322 and need essential repair work. These works will keep them safe and in good condition.
Programme of works
The works have two phases:
Phase 1 – Dennis Roundabout (May to December 2026)
These works include:
- Repairs to bridge supports and bearings
- Lane closure on part of the roundabout 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- Footpath closure with a signed diversion in place 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- Some overnight closures in May.
Phase 2 – A3 between Dennis Roundabout and Stoke Interchange (June to July 2026)
These works include repairs to bridge deck, waterproofing and resurfacing.
There will be a combination of weekend closures, overnight closures and narrow lanes. These will cause delays and affect residents and road users.
Please expect some noise, including during overnight works.
