A308 Staines Road West and Kingston Road, Ashford – Safety barrier installation
Coronavirus: how the outbreak is affecting our roadworks and maintenance
Surrey County Council is resuming its essential roadworks programme to help keep routes open and safe for key workers during the coronavirus restrictions. More information and updates can be found on our Roadworks coronavirus page.
Update - July 2020
The new safety barrier installation was substantially completed in June 2020. The team are returning in late July to complete the landscaping works.
Landscaping works details
- Start date: July 27 2020
- Duration: 2 weeks
- Location: Fordbridge roundabout to School Road junction
- Traffic management: Lane closures in both directions will be in place 24 hours a day/7 days a week for the duration of these works.
Lane closures will extend to the east and west of the works area. This is to ensure the safety of drivers and the works site.
We are aware that this is likely to cause traffic delays, however it is necessary for the safety of drivers and of the work force and work site that the lane closures remain in place. We are aware that the A308 in Ashford is a very busy section of road and that our works will create significant traffic delays. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and we kindly ask for you patience while we complete these necessary works.
