Grass cutting

We cut the grass on land owned by the highway authority so that people can use roads and pavements safely. This includes highway verges next to pavements and roads, as well as central reservations and sightlines at junctions.

In most areas across Surrey, the district or borough council cuts the grass on our behalf.

Surrey County Council are responsible for co-ordinating grass cutting on dual carriageways with a speed limit of over 50mph.
