Surrey Highways' reactive, routine and planned road maintenance is delivered by the Kier Group.
The contract started in April 2011 with May Gurney (now Kier Group).
The legal contract
The contract is a Term Partnering Contract (TPC). This provides legal protection and flexibility to Surrey Highways. The benefits of a partnering contract include: joint standards of working and joint objectives. All partners work together to resolve problems. The focus of a TPC is always continuous improvement rather than simply meeting the needs of a legal contract.
The TPC delivers emergency, routine and planned road maintenance. It also shows how we will jointly provide: customer service, performance management and pension protection. We also work together to employ apprentices and reduce our carbon footprint.
Delivering the contract objectives
Surrey Highways and Kier work as an integrated team. For information, on how successful we are in achieving the contract aims and our objectives, please contact us.
