The Government has set a long-term vision for walking and cycling to be the natural choice for shorter journeys, for an improved customer experience of public transport and for nearly every car and van on UK roads to be a zero-emission vehicle by 2050.
Our Low Emissions Transport Strategy (PDF) sets out our ambition to work with partners to reduce polluting emissions from transport in Surrey for the benefit of everyone who lives or works in Surrey.
A public consultation took place in summer 2018, seeking view on a draft of this strategy. Comments and suggestions from this consultation are documented in a Consultation Outcome Report (which is available on request via the Contact Centre) and informed the final strategy, which was approved for adoption into the Surrey Transport Plan by Surrey County Council's Cabinet on 27 November 2018.
