Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 03 May 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of More Lane (D6898) Esher as extends from its junction with (X5118) Wayneflete Place to its junction with (X5112) The Furlongs.

Alternative Route: (a) More Lane, Lower Green Road, Station Road, Portsmouth Road, High Street, Church Street, Esher Green and More Lane and; (b) More Lane, Esher Green, High Street, Portsmouth Road, Station Road, Lower Green Road and More Lane.

This Order is required to carry out new sewer connection works by, or on behalf of De-Ath Bros Ltd. These works are anticipated to be completed over 8 days between 8am and 6pm during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 27 May 2023.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
