Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 12 April 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; a) Hardwick Lane (C127) Lyne as extends from its junction with (B386) Holloway Hill and for a distance of 50 metres in a northerly direction along Hardwick Lane and; b) in that length of Holloway Hill as extends from its junction with Hardwick Lane for a distance of 70 metres in a westerly direction along Holloway Hill.

Alternative Route: (1) Hardwick Lane, Almers Road, Lyne Lane, Longcross Road and Holloway Hill and; (2) Holloway Hill, Stonehill Road, Foxhill Road and Guildford Road.

This Order is required to carry out installation of new water mains connection works for or on behalf of J Browne Construction. These works are anticipated to be completed over 20 days between the hours of 7am and 6pm within 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 02 May 2023.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents and pedestrians will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
