Surrey Heath 2018 parking review

This parking review was completed in spring 2019.

There were a number of stages involved in the review, as shown below.

During December 2017 and January 2018 we looked at parking problems across the borough. We had 145 locations to review. These had been brought to our attention largely by members of the public, the police, councillors and highway officers, since the previous review took place. We visited, assessed, and prioritised the requests for new or amended parking controls, and created a report of our findings and recommendations.

Committee authorisation

We presented this report of our findings and recommendations to Surrey County Council's Local Committee for Surrey Heath at its rearranged meeting on Thursday 12 April 2018. You can read a copy of the report and the committee's decision on the local committee pages on our website.

Advertisement and objections

All the agreed parking restrictions have now been formally advertised.

Thank you to everybody who took the time and trouble to submit feedback during the formal advertising.

At the bottom of this page, for information only, you can download and view copies of all the proposal plans recently advertised. They are displayed by county councillor division, along with a copy of the legal notice, committee report, and a statement of reasons detailing the restrictions.

All objections, support and comment responses have been compiled into a 'Consideration of Objections' report, which includes all agreed recommendations on how to proceed at each location. This report is available to download and view at the bottom of this page.

All agreed restrictions were installed during the first quarter of 2019, and the relevant traffic regulation orders came into operation on 8 April 2019.
