Spelthorne Parking Review 2017

There are a number of stages involved in the review, these are shown below. Due to the number of stages in the review, it takes about one year to complete a parking review from start to finish.

The current stage is Implementation

  1. Introduction
  2. Committee authorisation
  3. Advertisement and objections
  4. Approval
  5. Implementation

Introduction

The 2017 parking review took place over September and October and was presented to Spelthorne Joint Committee on 6 December 2017.

Committee authorisation

The parking review was presented to Spelthorne Joint Committee on 6 December 2017. All of the recommendations were agreed except for the following locations:

  • Thornhill Way, Shepperton
  • Ford Close, Shepperton
  • Richmond Road, Augur Close and Eton Court, Staines - Permit Scheme

On 6 April 2018 we formally advertised our intention to introduce the changes to the parking controls and restrictions as agreed by the committee. There then followed a period of 28 days (up to 4 May) during which people could let us have their views about any of the proposals.

A copy of the committee report, plans and statement of reasons, which explains what we proposed to do and why, are available to download and view at the bottom of this page.

Approval

All objections, support and comment responses have been compiled into a 'Consideration of objections' report, which members have now agreed. This report, along with its agreed recommendations on how to proceed at each location, is available to download and view at the bottom of this page.

Implementation

All agreed restrictions will be installed on the ground in summer/autumn 2018.
