Temporary changes to Free Bus Pass applications during the Coronavirus outbreak

Bus services may be altered or reduced due to the Coronavirus situation. Whilst known information will be published on the buses Temporary Change page, it is suggested that you contact the operator or visit their website or social media, before travelling.

To assist the elderly and disabled who may be travelling by bus to go to supermarkets which are offering special early morning shopping facilities, bus operators in Surrey are allowing free travel for holders of Concessionary passes before 9.30am.

From 2 November free travel for holders of Concessionary passes before 9:30am will no longer be available the Falcon services 456 and 461.

Free bus pass expiring?

In light of the current situation regarding the Coronavirus, Surrey County Council has taken the exceptional decision to automatically replace free bus passes that are due to expire to avoid residents worrying about how and when they will be able to renew or reapply for their bus pass.

If your bus pass is due to expire you will automatically be sent a new replacement:

  • Disabled persons concessionary bus pass with an expiry extension of 6 months

You will be required to renew/reapply when your automatic replacement is approaching expiry.
