People in Horley are taking the initiative and finding creative ways to make the town an even better place to live and work.
From cooking affordable meals with their neighbours, to making streets safer for children to play outdoors, there are lots of ideas that people are planning to get moving as soon as it's safe.
You may want to turn an overgrown patch of grass into a community garden or start a new dance group for young people. There are lots of opportunities and many like-minded people who want to make a difference and are willing to help. It's about building momentum, not perfection. Now could be the perfect time to share your idea and get the help you need to make it happen.
A small selection of the many ideas that people in your neighbourhood think could improve Horley are here: Have Your Say Today – Your Horley – Commonplace

Feature story: Growing Health Together in Horley
Growing Health Together recognises the huge assets for health and wellbeing that exist outside of the formal health service, in Horley, Smallfield and surrounding areas. From walking groups, coffee mornings and mutual aid groups that have sprung up following COVID-19, through to our local green and blue spaces, from which we can derive significant wellbeing benefits.
Comprised of a diverse range of local organisations and local people, our collaborative partnership intends to highlight existing resources that others might also benefit from. We also wish to enable local people to flag up new ideas that would improve health in our area and enable everyone to access the resources to be able to pursue these ambitions.
We believe this community-led approach to preventing ill health and enabling people to create health, will support wellbeing for our community in the wake of COVID-19, in ways that are sustainable and fair
Everyone is welcome to engage in this project. Further information about how to get involved will be available on our website when it is launched later this year.
