Feature story: Local group seeks new members for Community Shed

Those who appreciate the great outdoors, enjoy making things or who simply love a friendly chat over a cup of tea are invited to get involved with a community initiative at Holme Farm.

The purpose of the project is to establish a "community shed" where local people can pursue interests, practice skills, and enjoy lively discussion with other like minded people. This encourages social connections, friendship building, and promotes positive mental health and well being.

Throughout the pandemic, we have all become aware of the impact of social interaction on mental health. There is a heightened awareness around the need to take positive action in tackling this issue. Initiatives like this are a simple way of helping with this growing problem.

This group is for people of all ages with the group wishing to put on activities for children and young people to become connected to nature. Why not visit their Facebook page and find out more?
