The current Mole Valley Local Committee priorities cover a range of services and concerns that are felt to be key to the local area.

Improving quality of life for residents
- Working with the 'Supporting Families' agenda
- Preventing young people becoming not in Education, Training and Employment (NEET)
- Ensuring the Health and Wellbeing agenda reflect Mole Valley's needs
- Targeting areas of deprivation
- Ensuring adequate local school places (Primary/ Secondary/ 16+)
- All Mole Valley schools are 'good schools'
- Looking out for residents interests (cycling\Gatwick)
Keeping Mole Valley moving and safe
- Tackling congestion vs speed of travel
- Tackling obstructive traffic
- Illegal parking - School 'drop-off' and delivery vehicles
- Future proofing and ensuring we have 'high-quality roads'
- Rural access to roads
- Adequate parking facilities (towns, homes, villages, schools)
- Appropriate facilities/infrastructure for cyclists
- Adequate public transport
Promoting a thriving local economy and access to employment opportunities
- Ensure town centres are sustainable and vibrant
- Encourage business into Mole Valley and increase local employment opportunities
- Superfast Broadband (technological infrastructure)
- Links to rail developments Gatwick
- Cycling tourism
Supporting a sustainable growth plan for Mole Valley
- Construction of new homes with a focus on affordable homes
- Protection of Greenbelt
- Managing overcrowding
- Matching infrastructure to housing growth (drainage, roads)
- Opportunity vs risk of major development
In addition to these priorities a specific requirement was raised to speed up the implementation of decisions made at Committee. This will be taken forward by using a recommendation tracker to highlight timescales for actions and requesting updates on these actions from relevant officers. The recommendation tracker will be a standing item at every Local Committee meeting.
