Learning, training and working as a young person in Surrey

Our young people's employability plan

Our goal is for every Surrey young person to be participating in education, training or employment with training. The young people's employability plan (PDF) sets out how we plan to achieve this.

Options available to young people post-16

For information on the options available to young people when they leave school, please visit Surrey's Your Next Move Portal.

The local offer

The local offer summarises information about health and social services, education, leisure activities and support groups available in the area for children and young people aged 0–25 with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). It also outlines the additional provision that is available to children with SEND.

You can find details of what's available in your area through the Local Offer.

Local Prevention Framework

For young people of secondary school age who are at risk of dropping out of education, training or employment in the future, we provide extra support such as workshops, advice, courses and life skills activities that can be accessed through our Local Prevention Framework.
