Booking birth registration appointments online
Have you recently had a baby, or are you in the latter stages of pregnancy? Registering the birth is an important thing on your to do list and you can book it online at any time.
Just visit our birth web pages where you can look for an appointment that suits you, at a register office that you'd prefer. The booking service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, even during those sleepless nights. Appointments can get booked up fairly quickly so the sooner you get online, the more choice you'll have.
Don't forget…
- You can only register a birth if you have made an appointment.
- You must register the birth within 42 days of the child being born.
- It's free to register a birth.
Re-registering a birth
You can re-register a birth if your circumstances have changed, for instance if you've recently got married, entered into a civil partnership or if you'd like to add the baby's father's details. Simply go online and visit the re-registration of a birth webpage to request an appointment.
