Looking after your mental health
It's been a time like no other. The experience of the last 18 months has been different for everyone but there's no doubt it's been tough for us all. Now more than ever, it's important to look after our mental health and wellbeing.
Your mind is just as important as your physical body, so it's important to keep it healthy.
Whether you're feeling sad, anxious, or low, have financial pressures and need support or could benefit from talking to someone, or simply want to use some tools and techniques, like the Mindplan Quiz to help manage your thoughts and feelings, support is here. Our NHS and charity partner counsellors and mental health practitioners have shared some tips on maintaining your mental wellbeing:

Remember, not everyone deals with things in the same way. So even if you're not struggling, a friend, family member or child still might be, it's important to check in on others.
Eating well and keeping active
Whatever your age, situation, or ability, eating well and being active brings many health benefits. Whether you're looking for support to help you manage your weight or need tips to keep active, there's a range of information, self-help apps and local services available on the nutrition and physical activity Healthy Surrey web page.
Reducing your guilty pleasures
Drinking can be a way for people to escape and release stress, but it's important to keep an eye on your habits and know when you could be putting your health at risk. You can take a quick online Alcohol Test to see if your drinking could be putting your health and risk, and access free support.
