Volunteering with Surrey libraries

Volunteers Week 1 – 7 June
Over the last few months, people all over Surrey have stepped forward to offer their expertise and skills to help others in unexpected ways. A big thank you to all our wonderful volunteers who make a difference to Surrey residents. Volunteers Week 1 – 7 June is a great way to celebrate all the great things they do.
Volunteering is not only a chance to help others, but it improves wellbeing, boosts confidence and is a great opportunity to learn new skills while being a valued member of a team. In the words of two volunteers; 'Don't hesitate' and 'Give it a go!'.
You can see some of the current library volunteers talk about their experience of volunteering below.
You can also head to our main Volunteers Week article to see how volunteers have worked together to support Surrey's residents during the Coronavirus pandemic.
