Borrow a tent, gardening and decorating tools from Guildford library

Published: 28 June 2018

It's not just about books

Do you need a tent for the weekend, want to borrow some tile cutters for your latest DIY project or just want to play a game of Articulate?

A pop up library, Guildford Library of Things, has all sorts of items you can borrow and return when you're finished with it.

This volunteer run scheme has been brought together by Surrey County Council, Guildford Borough Council and Suez Recycling and Recovery UK. It's a great way to share things rather than buying something new if you're only going to use it occasionally. And not only does it save you money, but items that may have been thrown away get reused and recycled.

You can reserve items online and pick them up at Guildford Library. They are all free to borrow and a donation is discretionary. For more information and to view the list of available items, visit the "Guildford Makers Space Website".
