Surrey school children challenged to recycle right

Helping children understand the importance of recycling right

Is your child interested in helping the environment and winning great prizes for their school and themselves? If so, they should take the Surrey Recycle It Right Challenge and learn about the importance of recycling and how to do it properly.

The Challenge sees children completing an online recycling quiz and encouraging their families to pledge to recycle right. Schools with the highest percentage of children that complete the quiz and families that pledge will win some great prizes. Parents that pledge will also be entered into a prize draw to win an Odeon Limitless membership, among other prizes.

Schools can take part in the Challenge by signing up through the Wastebuster education programme, which is provided for free to all primary and independent schools in Surrey. Wastebuster is funded by the Surrey Environment Partnership, which includes Surrey County Council and the county's 11 district and borough councils.

The Challenge runs until 27 April with winners announced on 4 May. Schools can sign up here at the Surrey Recycle it Right Challenge website.
