60 years of being an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty

Did you know the Surrey Hills was one of the first landscapes in the country to be designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in 1958? It's now one of the 38 AONBs in England and Wales stretching across rural Surrey, from Farnham in the west to Oxted in the east it covers a quarter of the county and features spectacular scenery and an abundance of wildlife.

Artists celebrate the Surrey Hills

Surrey based artist Louise Dunckley has created 6 limited edition prints of the Surrey Hills for sale in support of the Surrey Hills Trust Fund. The vintage style illustrations will also be used as posters at several railway stations including South Western Railway, Great Western Railway and Southern Railway stations. So look out for the posters around Surrey as you travel about.
