Find out where we'll be investing in services for Surrey
Surrey County Council has now published its proposed budget for the 2020/21 financial year. The budget outlines how much will be invested in services such as Adult Social Care, Children's Services, Highways, Waste Management, maintaining the countryside, Community Safety and cultural services such as libraries. A five-year capital programme has also been outlined which aims to deliver around £700m of extra investment in the county.
In December, ahead of the budget setting, Surrey County Council ran a public survey to understand what residents' priorities were for how their money is spent. Thank you to all those who responded. The results showed an appreciation for council services that looked after the most vulnerable in society and called for further investment in highways and transport.
