Fire safety for junior citizens

Junior Citizens is a multi-agency scheme including Surrey Fire and Rescue, Surrey Police and other safety agencies. Each event comprises a number of interactive sets where Year 6 children, in groups of around six pupils, learn about personal safety. In the Fire Service set, children learn what to do in the event of a fire in their home.

The scheme is popular with both children and teachers and helps to fulfil the required teaching of Personal Social and Health Education and Citizenship.

Junior Citizens schemes are located across many of the boroughs and districts of Surrey and are co-ordinated in each locality.
