Junior Citizens is a multi-agency scheme supported by Surrey Fire and Rescue Service. Each event comprises of a number of interactive sets where Year 6 children, in groups of around six pupils, learn about personal safety. In the interactive fire service set, children learn what to do in the event of a fire in their home.
The scheme is popular with both children and teachers and helps to fulfil the required teaching of Personal Social and Health Education and Citizenship.
Junior Citizens schemes are delivered and coordinated locally in most of the boroughs and districts of Surrey.
