Armed Forces Week 22-27 June 2020
Armed Forces Week is a chance for the nation to recognise and say thank you for the work and sacrifices of our armed forces. This year it is taking place from Monday 22 June to Saturday 27 June 2020.
How are Surrey Council marking the week?
We are extremely proud of the armed forces we are lucky to have within Surrey and are fully committed to the Armed Forces Covenant.
During each day of Armed Forces Week, we are going to be highlighting a different theme with videos and special events shared via the @SurreyMatters Twitter and Facebook accounts. We will also be supporting and sharing other events taking place locally across the county via @SurreyMilitary platforms.
Monday 22 June – Global Armed Forces
Tony Samuels, Chairman of Surrey County Council opens the week with a virtual Flag Raising ceremony.
Tuesday 23 June – Innovation
