Free flu jabs for carers
Published: 26 September 2017
Did you know you are entitled to a free flu jab?
This winter it’s even easier for Surrey carers to get flu jabs at participating pharmacies with a new voucher scheme. Carers are encouraged to get vaccinated not only to protect their own health and wellbeing but for that of the person they care for.
Introducing the Surrey Carers Flu Vaccination Voucher
The Surrey Carers Flu Vaccination Voucher entitles carers to free flu jabs. It can be redeemed at participating community pharmacies giving them the flexibility of having the jab at a time that is convenient for them. Carers can also request an appointment at the GP surgery, whichever is easiest.
Where can carers get the voucher?
Anyone who is the main carer for someone who is elderly, frail or disabled and/or is in receipt of a carers allowance is eligible for the voucher. They can obtain a voucher through their carer support worker or Action For Carers Surrey by visiting www.actionforcarers.org.uk or by telephoning 01483 302748.
