'Tis the season to recycle

Paper and card recycling
Something festive lands on your doorstep pretty much every day in December, and whether it’s Christmas cards, catalogues or delivery boxes, all the paper and card can be recycled.
There’s so much you can recycle in Surrey over the festive period, from party food boxes and tearable wrapping paper, to cardboard packaging the latest toy came in. Anything with glitter on it however can’t be recycled and should be put in the rubbish bin.
You can break down cardboard boxes to help make more space in your recycling bin and any extra recycling placed next to your bin on collection day will be taken – but you should check with your local district or borough council whether this should be put in a clear bag or a cardboard box.
To check out exactly what you can recycle where you live this Christmas and all year round, visit Recycle for Surrey or download the Recycle for Surrey app.
