Surrey sports projects awarded £115,000

Thanks to hosting part of the Prudential RideLondon cycling festival in the summer, three sports organisations in Surrey have benefitted from grants totaling £115,000. The funding is awarded by the London Marathon Charitable Trust to projects based in the areas where London Marathon Events organise their events.

The three Surrey organisations given grants this year were £75,000 to Leatherhead Bowling Club to replace their clubhouse, £20,000 to Windlesham Club and Theatre to have a clubhouse extension and £20,000 to Abinger Parish Recreation Grounds which will pay for the refurbishment of the playground equipment for young children.

Would you like the chance to take part in this fantastic cycling event which takes in Box Hill and Leith Hill and follows the route of cycling professionals? Everyone who applies by ballot will be notified of the ballot results by post in February 2018. Enter the Prudential RideLondon 100 ballot.
