Writing the history nobody taught you: an author event with Diane M. Hinds

Friday 6 November, from 3pm to 4pm

Join us for a fascinating talk about researching and writing historical fiction about an overlooked past.

Diane M. Hinds talks about her novel, "Conquerabia: The Struggle for Identity", a meticulously researched novel tracing the formative history of Trinidad-from its discovery in 1498 to its complex colonial later history.

Diane will discuss how historical research is transformed into compelling fiction, the challenges of bringing forgotten voices to life, and the stories that history books too often leave untold. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the journey behind this thought-provoking novel.

Tickets cost £3 per person attending. Book your place online or ask at the library counter.
