Summer Holiday activities

Craft sessions

  • Every Wednesday from 10.30am to 11.30am. Starting on 25 July.

Come along and make a selection of inspiring and fun crafts - something different each week.

Suitable for children aged 3 and upwards. No booking necessary. Cost: £1 per child per session.

Microbit session

  • Thursday 16 August from 2pm to 4pm.

Suitable for children aged 8 upwards. No booking necessary. This event is free.

Gruffalo Fun Event

  • Friday 17 August from 10.30am to 12 noon.

Come and join us for a morning of fun Gruffalo stories followed by Gruffalo craft, activities and Gruffalo jigsaw.

Free event and no booking required, Suitable for children aged 2–8.


  • Tuesday 21 August, two sessions:
    • Session 1 from 2pm until 2.45pm
    • Session 2 from 2.45pm until 3.30pm.

Suitable for children aged 7 upwards. Booking required, please book at the library. Cost: £1 per child per session.

Board games

  • Tuesday 21 August from 2pm until 4pm.

Suitable for children of all ages. No booking necessary. This event is free.

Rhymetime and storytime


Note: This event is not ticketed, please turn up at the given times below.

  • Every Thursday, at 10.30am.

Crafty Storytime

Come along and join us. We will be reading a few picture books - followed by a related craft activity. Suitable for all preschool children.

  • Every Wednesday in term time, from 10.30 to 11.15am.

Reading groups

Do you like books? Reading?

Why not join a new reading group at Horley library at 2.15pm on Wednesday afternoons?

Anyone interested should give their name at the information desk in Horley library. The aim is for the group to start when there are enough potential new members so please let us know if you would like to take part.
