Storytime

Libraries reopening news and updates

We are intending to reopen our libraries to browsing and PC use on Monday 7 December.

Until then, libraries will offer Ready Reads, the click-and-collect service and computers for essential use. Full details on our Coronavirus information page.

Storytime during lockdown

Whilst our libraries are closed we are putting storytimes on our Facebook page every Wednesday at 10.30am. You can also watch past storytimes on our YouTube channel.

Surrey libraries storytimes in libraries

Library storytimes are generally aimed at two to five year olds and provide a fun and enjoyable introduction to books and libraries for young children.

Sharing books and stories with young children can help to build good language and listening skills and give them a head start when they begin school.

Library storytimes can foster a life long love of reading and show children that it is a fun place to be. Sessions are free and generally last 30 minutes.

Storytime sessions are held in many of Surrey's libraries.

Please note some storytimes may be ticketed, operate a booking system, or have admittance restrictions.

Check your local library's events and activities listing, using the links in the table below, especially during Surrey school holidays for more details and any changes. Alternatively contact the library service.
