Public Footpath Nos. 75, 75a and 75b (Windlesham), Public Bridleways Nos. 76 and 76a (Chobham), Public Footpath Nos. 75a, 77, 77c & 78 (Chobham) and Public Footpath No. 5 (Sunningdale, Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2021

On 8 July 2021 Surrey County Council will make the above mentioned Temporary Order, the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along that length of:

  1. Public Footpath 75 (Windlesham), which extends from its junction with Westwood Road (Grid ref:SU941653) for a distance of 1330m in a south-easterly direction to its junction with Chertsey Road.
  2. Public Footpath 75a (Windlesham), which extends from its junction with Public Footpath 75 (Windlesham) (Grid ref:SU947650) for a distance of 257m in a north-north-westerly and then north-north-easterly direction to its junction with Public Footpath 75a (Chobham) at the parish boundary.
  3. Public Footpath 75b (Windlesham), which extends from its junction with A30 London Road (Grid ref:SU943660) for a distance of 788m in a generally south-westerly direction to its junction with Public Footpath No. 75 (Windlesham).
  4. Public Bridleway 76 (Chobham), which extends from its junction with Ridgemount Road (Grid ref:SU951659) for a distance of 1455m in a south-westerly direction to its junction with Chertsey Road.
  5. Public Bridleway 76a (Chobham), which extends from its junction with Public Bridleway 76 (Chobham) (Grid ref:SU950650) for a distance of 589m in a south-easterly direction to its junction with Chertsey Road.
  6. Public Footpath 75a (Chobham), which extends from its junction with Public Footpath 75a (Windlesham) (Grid ref:SU947653) at the parish boundary for a distance of 639m in a north-easterly direction to its junction with Public Bridleway 76 (Chobham).
  7. Public Footpath 77 (Chobham), which extends from its junction with Chertsey Road (Grid ref:SU960647) for a distance of 1368m in a north-westerly direction to Public Footpath No.5 (Sunningdale) at the county boundary.
  8. Footpath 77c (Chobham), which extends from its junction with Chertsey Road (Grid ref:SU958647) for a distance of 395m in a north-westerly direction to its junction with Public Footpath 77 (Chobham).
  9. Public Footpath 78 (Chobham), which extends from its junction with Chertsey Road (Grid ref:SU959647) for a distance of 54m in a north-easterly direction to its junction with Public Footpath 77 (Chobham).
  10. Public Footpath 5 (Sunningdale), which extends from its junction with Ridgemount Road (Grid ref:SU952661) for a distance of 274m in a southerly direction to join Public Footpath 77 (Chobham) at the county boundary

The Order is required on the grounds of safety and security for the Senior Open Golf Championship at Sunningdale Golf Club. It will be in operation from 6am on 19 July 2021 until 6pm on 26 July 2021. That period can be extended by the Secretary of State for Transport if required.

The prohibition described above shall not apply to emergency service vehicles in an emergency. The prohibition described above will only be operative while the County Council, or an authorised person acting on its behalf, displays traffic signs prohibiting the said movements. Access to properties will not be affected.

There are no suggested alternative routes.

The Surrey County Council Public Footpaths No's 75, 75a and 75b (Windlesham), Public Bridleways No's 76 and 76a (Chobham), Public Footpaths No's 75a, 77, 77c and 78 (Chobham) and Public Footpath No 5 (Sunningdale) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2021 will be made by the County Council under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
