Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2017
The Surrey County Council Public Footpath 407 (Horley) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2017 was made to ensure public safety due to machinery on and next to the path. The Order came into operation on 25 August 2017. It was due to expire on 5 February 2021. It has now been continued in force by the Secretary of State for Transport until 5 February 2022 or until the completion of the works, whichever is earlier.
The Order as continued will have the effect of prohibiting all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along the length of Public Footpath 407 (Horley) from the junction with Meath Green Lane at Grid Reference 527178 144623 for 220 metres to the junction with Public Footpath 411 Horley at Grid Reference 527014 144436.
The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf.
Access to properties will not be affected. There is no alternative route.
