Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic Order 2020
The Surrey County Council Public Footpath 227 (Chiddingfold) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2020 was made on the grounds of public safety due to a collapsed culvert.
The Order came into operation on 17 September 2020. It was due to expire on 17 March 2021 but has now been continued in force by the Secretary of State for Transport until 17 March 2022, or until the completion of the remedial works if earlier.
The Order as continued prohibits all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along that length of Public Footpath 227 at the point where it crosses over a culvert south-east of Noddings Farm at Grid Ref: 495452, 136744.
The temporary closure will only operate while the County Council, or an authorised person acting on its behalf, displays signs prohibiting the said movements. Access to properties will not be affected.
There is no suggested alternative route.
