Notice of Confirmation of an Order

Public Path (Part) Extinguishment Order 2019

On 3 September 2021, The Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs confirmed the above Order made under section 118 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.

The effect of the order as confirmed is to extinguish part of the public bridleway at Marden Park as shown on the order plan.

A copy of the Order and the Order Map have been placed and may be seen free of charge by appointment (Tel: 0300 200 1003) at Surrey County Council Offices, Whitebeam Lodge, Merrow Depot, Merrow Lane, Guildford (between 10am and 4pm from Monday to Friday) and at Tandridge District Council, Council Offices, Station Road East, Oxted RH8 0BT during normal office hours and at Caterham Valley Library, Stafford Road, Caterham CR3 6JG, during opening hours. Alternatively a copy of the Order and map may be purchased from the County Council at a cost of £4 per order.

The Order came into force on 10 September 2021 but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highway Act 1980 as amended or on the ground that any requirement of the Act as amended or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order he or she may under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act within six weeks from 25 November 2021 make an application to the High Court.
