Notice

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1)
The Surrey County Council
Public Bridleway 13, 14 and 15 (Camberley and Frimley)
Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic Order 2019

On 21 November 2019 Surrey County Council will make the above mentioned temporary order, the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding in that length of Bridleway 13 (Camberley & Frimley) in a generally southerly direction from its junction with Tomlinscote Way for a distance of 360m to GR 489202 158252, Bridleway 14 (Camberley & Frimley) extending from GR 489670 158456 in a generally easterly direction for a distance of 160m to GR 489823 158477 and Bridleway 15 (Camberley & Frimley) extending from GR 490267 158223 in a south easterly direction for 120m to GR 490345 158143.

The Order is necessary in order to facilitate works which will be taking place on or near the footpath in connection with the construction of a cycleway from Frith Hill to Tomlinscote. The closure will be in operation for a period of six months from 21 November 2019, or until completion of the works, if earlier. That period can be extended by the Secretary of State for Transport if required.

The prohibition described above will only be operative while the County Council, or an authorised person acting on its behalf, displays signs prohibiting the said movements. No access to properties will be affected by the temporary closure.

The alternative routes for pedestrians, equestrians and cyclists will be along various other paths available over Frith Hill that are unaffected by the works, and which alternative routes will be signed on site. 'The Surrey County Council Public Bridleways 13, 14 & 15 (Camberley & Frimley) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2019' will be made by the County Council under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
