Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic Order 2021

On 24 February 2021 Surrey County Council will make the above mentioned temporary order, the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along that length of Public Bridleway 101a (Thursley/Tilford) between Tilford Road, Rushmoor (Grid Ref: 487540, 141418) and the junction with Public Bridleway 73 (Thursley).

The Order is necessary on the grounds of public safety due to works taking place on or near the bridleway. The closure will be in operation for a period of six weeks from 1 March 2021 or until completion of the works, if earlier. That period can be extended by the Secretary of State for Transport if required. However, it is anticipated that the works will take no more than two weeks.

The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected.

There is no suggested alternative route.

The 'Surrey County Council Public Bridleway 101a (Thursley/Tilford) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2021' will be made by the County Council under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
