Public Byway Open to All Traffic 98 (Wotton)/Hogden Lane
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(2)
The Surrey County Council hereby give notice that from 7am on 22 November 2021, no traffic shall proceed along the length of Public BOAT 98 Wotton between Chalkpit Lane and Ranmore Common Road, between points A and B, as shown in red on the plan below.
The closure is required on the grounds of public safety due to removal of trees affected by Ash Die Back disease and will be in operation for a period of 21 days.
The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected
The alternative route for non-motorised traffic from the north end of the closure is via Bridleway 68 Leatherhead. The alternative route from the south end of the closure will be the reverse of the above.
There is no alternative route for motorised vehicles.
The Private means of access to premises is exempt from the closure.
