Conversion of Part of Public Footpath No.23 Walton and Weybridge into Cycle Track Order 2018
The above Order, made on 21 November 2018, under section 3(1) of the Cycle Tracks Act 1984 if confirmed as made, will convert part of the width of Public Footpath No.23 Walton and Weybridge from the Footbridge near Seven Arches Bridge (Grid Ref 506820 163092) in a north easterly direction for 357m to the junction with Lonsdale Road (Grid Ref 507084 163250) and from the north-eastern end of Lonsdale Road (Grid Ref 507274 163418) for a distance of 185m to the junction with Heathbridge (Grid Ref 507414 163541). The cycle track will have a width of 2.0 metres as shown on the Order maps.
A copy of the Order and Order maps may be seen free of charge at the Countryside Access Office, Surrey County Council, Merrow Depot, Merrow Lane, Guildford GU4 7BQ (by appointment Tel 0300 2001003), Elmbridge Borough Council offices, Civic Office High St Esher KT10 9SB, and Weybridge Library, Church Street, Weybridge, Surrey KT13 8DE during opening hours. Copies of the Order and map may be bought from the County Council for £4.
Further information regarding the purpose of this Order, which is necessary to fulfil the aims of the Brooklands Business Park Accessibility Project, specifically through the creation of a shared cycling/walking route between the Brooklands Business Park and Weybridge Station, can also be found at www.surreycc.gov.uk and searching for "Elmbridge major transport schemes".
Any representation or objection relating to the Order must be sent in writing to the Countryside Access Team (quoting reference AW/3/1/78/H29), at Surrey County Council, Merrow Depot, Merrow Lane, Guildford GU4 7BQ not later than 11 January 2019. Applicants are requested to state the grounds on which it is made.
If no representations or objections are duly made to the Order or if any so made are withdrawn, the Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State for Transport for confirmation, any representations and objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with it.
