Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2019

The Surrey County Council Public Bridleway No.582 (Tilford) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2019 was made on the grounds of public safety, due to works being carried out at Tilford East Bridge on or near the bridleway.

The Order came into operation on 23 September 2019. It was due to expire on 1 March 2020 and was subsequently extended to 30 September 2020. It has now been continued in force by the Secretary of State for Transport for a fifth time until 31 July 2021, or until the completion of the works if earlier.

The Order as continued prohibits all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along Bridleway No. 582 (Tilford) between Tilford Street, where it heads in an east-west direction and Tilford Street where it heads in a north-south direction.

The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected.

There is no alternative route
