Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2020
The Surrey County Council Public Bridleway 184 (Hambledon) Temporary Prohibitoin of Traffice Order 2020 was made to protect public safety due to the unsafe condition of the bridleway caused by badger setts. The Order came into force on 30 July 2020.
It was due to expire on 30 January 2020. It has been continued in force by the Secretary of State for Transport until 31 January 2022 or until the completion of the works, whichever is the earlier.
The Order as continued will have the effect of prohibiting all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along the bridleway from its junction with Hydon Heath and Public Bridleway 166 and 189 Hambledon. This is shown as a solid red line between points A – B on the closure plan.
The prohibition described above will only be operative while the County Council, or an authorised person acting on its behalf, displays signs prohibiting the said movements.
There is no alternative route.
The Surrey County Council Public Bridleway 184 (Hambledon) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2020 was made by the County Council under Section 14(1) & (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
