Notice of Confirmation of an Order

Highways Act 1980 and Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981

Surrey County Council Bridleway No. 163 (Windlesham)

Public Path Diversion Order 2014

On 27 March 2019, Surrey County Council confirmed the above Order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.

The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert Bridleway No. 163 (Windlesham) from a point opposite no. 91, The Avenue (Grid ref SU 9208 6219), running in a south westerly direction for 12m, then in a north westerly direction for 241m, and then in a south westerly direction for 221m, to a line running from the same point 123m south west of the start of BW 163 on The Avenue in a north westerly direction for 220m, and then in a south westerly direction for 306m as shown on the Order Map.

A copy of the Order and the Order Map may be seen free of charge by appointment at Countryside Access Office, Surrey County Council, Whitebeam Lodge, Merrow Depot, Merrow Lane, Guildford GU4 7BQ between 10.00am and 4.00pm from Monday to Friday, Surrey Heath Borough Council, Surrey Heath House, Knoll Road, Camberley, GU15 3HD, during opening hours and at Bagshot Library, High Street, Bagshot, Surrey, GU19 5AH, during opening hours. A copy of the Order may be purchased from the county council for £4.00.

This order comes into force on the date on which Surrey County Council certify that the terms of Article 2 of the order have been complied with but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 as amended or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act as amended or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order he or she may under paragraph 2 of the Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act within six weeks from 12 June 2019 make an application to the High Court.
