Consultations and research stage
This was considered by the Tandridge Local Committee on 22 June 2018. Members agreed with the Officer's recommendation to add public footpaths 612 (Oxted), 613 (Oxted and Limpsfield) and 614 (Oxted) to the Definitive Map and Statement for Surrey.
A Map Modification Order was made on 8 August 2018 and was advertised on 16 August 2018. The order is titled "The Surrey County Council Public Footpaths Nos. 612 (Oxted), 613 (Oxted and Limpsfield) And 614 (Oxted) Definitive Map Modification Order 2018".
Three objections were received. The Order will be referred to the Secretary of State for determination.
The Secretary of State has appointed an Inspector to determine this matter. A public inquiry was scheduled to be held at Tandridge District Council, 8 Station Road East, Oxted, RH8 0BT on 1 and 2 April 2020. This was cancelled. The notice for the cancelled public inquiry is on the Planning Inspectorate webpage Planning Inquiry Notice - Cancelled.
The public inquiry was rescheduled for two days on 14 and 15 December 2020 but was adjourned until 8 March 2021. The inquiry was held virtually over 5 days.
