Our offer when you join us
Strengths-based, preventative practice
- You’ll have more time and support to focus on strengths-based, preventative work - helping residents and carers before needs escalate.
- Staff in pilot teams reported greater job satisfaction from making a positive difference early in people’s journeys.
Collaborative, Multidisciplinary Teams
- Daily collaboration with colleagues from diverse backgrounds means you can share expertise, seek advice, and learn from others.
- The new structure encourages teamwork and open communication, making work more rewarding and less isolating.
Values based recruitment approach
Adults, Wellbeing and Health Partnerships (AWHP) is redesigning its recruitment framework to create a more innovative, values-led approach aligned with Surrey County Council’s (SCC) culture. The new framework emphasises candidates lived experiences, values and behaviours, while still assessing technical competencies. Its aim is to improve candidates’ experience, give hiring teams greater flexibility, and ensure the organisation hires the right set of skills, values and behaviours.
Professional development and career progression
- The redesign creates new roles and opportunities to develop your skills, take on new responsibilities, and progress in your career.
- Staff movement between teams is supported, so you can broaden your experience and find the best fit for your strengths.
- Dedicated Adults Academy: You’ll have access to structured development programmes designed to help you build expertise and progress confidently in your career.
Consistent, high-quality practice
- Clear processes and a single front door mean less confusion, fewer handoffs, and more consistent outcomes for residents - and for you as a practitioner.
