Well Done to Emina Atic-Lee for being awarded Most Outstanding Manager!

"I firmly believe that the award I was given as a manager represents efforts and commitment of my wonderful team of social workers and family support workers whom I have been privileged to support over the last 5 years. Our looked after children need stability and consistency on all levels and this is what are aiming for in all areas of practice." - Emina Atic-Lee, Team Manager, North West Surrey Looked After Children's Team

Nothing like an Easter themed team game to kick start the bank holiday weekend. The recruitment team egg-squisitely drew their team members last week and shared with each other during the team catch up. I'm sure you'll agree that they look cracking 👏🏻

Happy Easter to you all!

Well done team! Our Trading Standards Prevention Team has been recognised with a prestigious Hero Award from the Chartered Trading Standards Institute.

The team have excelled themselves this year especially during the Covid-19 pandemic where they proactively protected our residents from financial abuse and scams, intervening where possible to get victims their money back.
They developed new ways of working which were then replicated by other local authorities across the country. Confronting some very distressing situations the team ensured our most vulnerable residents received the care and support they needed.

All of Surrey's Adult Social Care teams helped to collect toiletries and raise money after Christmas for Surrey Young Carers. Each teams Carers Practice Advisors co-ordinated the donations to help Young Carers as part of Action for Carers Surrey Young Carers initiative which looks for organisations and local business to make a collection of toiletries such as shampoo, deodorants, shower gel and other hygiene products; young carers can sometimes find themselves too short of time or money to look after themselves. With these wellbeing boxes, Surrey Young Carers can provide practical – and pampering – items, so young carers can help themselves at Surrey Young Carer organised events. Pictured is Mel Honor Carers Practice Advisor from Mole Valley Locality Team handing over the donations and money raised to a delighted and grateful Jackie Sanders from Surrey Young Carers. #SurreyCCLife #YoungCarers #Carers#Support
