We're in the midst of significant and fast paced transformation across our Land and Property Service, and are looking to recruit the right people into our senior leadership roles to help reshape and deliver a high quality, cost effective and professional Land and Property service.
We've made a great start and have recently recruited Director of Land and Property, Patricia Barry. She is looking to recruit to three newly created Client Account Manager roles which will report into our Assistant Director - Corporate Landlord which is currently being recruited to.
Client Account Managers- £69,855- £79,006 PA. Currently based in Kingston Upon Thames but with a planned move to Woking in 2020.
Client Account Managers are newly created and exciting roles within Land and Property that present a real opportunity to transform the performance and reputation of our services. We are looking for Client Accountant Managers who will lead in one of three defined areas - Schools, Adults Social Care Services, and External Liaison.
For all of these roles you will be the 'go to' person for any property related queries, using your expert knowledge and insight to provide professional and responsive advice. You will naturally have a can-do attitude and be a future-focused individual with the ability to suggest and communicate effectively your ideas for new ways of working. The work you deliver will directly reflect our aims and ambitions as a service and organisation, as defined in our Asset and Place Strategy (pdf) and our Community Vision 2030.

As the Client Account Manager for Schools, the real challenge and focus of work will be assisting in providing extra school places across a range of different needs, such as mainstream schools, Pupil Referral Units etc. Consequently, there is a large building programme that is funded by the council and the DfE. In addition, there are also a number of schools that have reached the end of their useful life and need to be replaced.
You will need to work closely with Education colleagues to ensure that their service needs are reflected in the capital programme. Previous experience of working on the property needs of schools would be beneficial, to allow you to hit the ground running and develop the programme,
Adults Social Care
The service is facing rising demands for its services at a time when the budget to meet assessed care needs is under considerable pressure. As the Client Account Manager for Adult Social Care, you will support the service and help them respond to the need for change by developing property solutions for the growing needs of the client group and, in particular, delivering extra care and independent living solutions.
The service needs to make a step change in delivering a wider provision of options and this will be your main focus. Knowledge and experience of operating from a property perspective within the adult social care market would be beneficial.
As the External Liaison Client Account Manager, you will focus on helping us to respond to the strategic needs of our district and borough partners, the Surrey Fire and Rescue Service, the One Public Estate agenda and general community needs.
You will need a wide understanding of the statutory role of local government and be keen to develop innovative ways of delivering excellent local services. One of the key aims of the role will be to help rationalise the council's £1.5 billion asset base and deliver efficiencies for the future.
