Our vision of procurement

Coronavirus update

Subject to the ongoing situation, it's essential that we continue recruiting safely. Therefore, interviews and communication will be virtual wherever possible and this will be communicated to you directly by the hiring manager.

Please also expect that advert closing dates and interview dates may change as required. We still continue to welcome applications for our current roles and wish you the best of luck with your application.

We would welcome applications especially for our most critical roles to ensure we're supporting our residents

Orbis is a public sector partnership between the three councils of Brighton & Hove, East Sussex and Surrey. The partnership consists of staff working collaboratively across the three partners. It was formally created between East Sussex County Council and Surrey County Council in April 2015, with Brighton & Hove City Council joining as the final founding partner in May 2017.

Our aim is to be influential in the market, deliver professional procurement and commercial expertise, and support our partners – thereby making a difference to the services we provide our residents.

We're currently embarking on a new chapter in our organisation, meaning you have the opportunity to shape and influence how we do things in the future. So whether you're new to procurement, or already well established in your career, there's never been a better time to join our team.

You'll gain access to great benefits like flexible working hours and the opportunity to work from home. And there's much more besides: from bicycle loans and childcare and cinema vouchers, to discounts on car leases and shopping vouchers.

Why not find out what else Orbis can offer?

Now's the time to join

There has never been a more important time for Orbis Procurement to invest in, and draw upon the skills, dedication, and passion of its workforce. You are critical in ensuring the success of our partnership.

Following our recent restructure we are investing in our Procurement team, looking to recruit to new roles which will help shape and deliver efficiencies that will secure the future of the services we provide for our residents. Year on year we have seen an increased demand for the services that we, as a partnership provide. By investing in the right staff now, Orbis will be equipped with the skills required to ensure we deliver services that provide value for money as we move forward.

If you share our EPIC values – Expertise, Passion, Innovation, and Customer-focus – which are at the heart of everything we do, then the challenges of working for Orbis, in a busy professional environment, could be the right choice for you.
