Easter music course

Easter Music Course 2018 at Royal Alexandra and Albert School, Redhill

Running for over 40 years, this music course (residential and non-residential options) has given many young musicians the opportunity to develop, play and perform with other young musicians while making friends at the same time.

Orchestral Main course – Tuesday 3 to Saturday 7 April

For young people of 11 to 18 years old who are approximately Grade 4 standard and above (it is not necessary to have taken any exams).

Opportunities to play in an Orchestra, Wind Band and Jazz Band all with a team of dedicated professional tutors supporting each section and always on hand to help and give advice.

Orchestral Mini course – Thursday 5 to Friday 6 April

For players of around grades 1 to 3, there are two ensembles to choose from:

  • Strings for violin, viola, cello and double bass
  • Wind Band for all brass, woodwind and percussion

Orchestral Come and Try - Thursday 5 April

Thursday 5 April 2pm to 3.30pm. A free event to come and try the many instruments in an orchestra for 4 to 13 year olds. Trumpets, cellos, bassoon, double bass, tuba, percussion and many more.

Non-Residential. Parent supervision required.

Come and Sing Day - Wednesday 4 April

10am until 4pm with performance at 4:30pm (ages 13-18)

Mini Sings Workshop – Thursday 5 to Friday 6 April

After the volume of interest in the singing workshops in summer 2017, Surrey Arts are extending the singing options for Easter 2018.

Residential and non-residential options

Booking registration opens Monday 6 November with early bird discounts available for bookings made by Friday 5 January 2018.
