Researching at Surrey History Centre?
You can access the internet at Surrey History Centre, and Ancestry (worldwide) and Findmypast are available to use free of charge, along with other resources on the Surrey Libraries online reference shelf. You can use our computers or Wi-Fi is available to use these resources on your laptop, tablet or smart phone.
You can use our computers to view indexes created by the West Surrey Family History Society, our Surrey tithe records CDs and DVDs and our Surrey-wide database of tithe records, and our Surrey maps, manorial maps and enclosure maps CDs, all free of charge.
The Forces War Records website is available to use free of charge at Surrey History Centre on a kiosk terminal.
The Genealogist website is available to use free of charge at Surrey History Centre.
You may use your own camera or mobile phone camera for a fee (see table of fees).
Photocopying and digital imaging services are available (see table of fees).
We have a lending library in our foyer, with a specialised collection of local and family history books. Books you borrow can be returned to any Surrey library.
