If you wish to raise an issue or concern, or have your views heard on a council matter or policy, you may want to set up a petition. You can submit your petition by post or using our online petition facility. We welcome petitions from service users and/or anyone who lives, works or studies in Surrey.
The County Council's petition scheme (PDF) and the pages below provide a guide on how to set up your petition and how the council will respond to it.
You can now create and sign petitions online. Using the internet to create an e-petition allows a potentially much wider audience to view your petition and gives you the opportunity to gather more names to support the petition. You may gather names and addresses in both forms - both a paper version and an online version, although repeat names should be removed by the lead petitioner.
